Requirements
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness by utilizing the Seven Step Cleaning procedure on a daily basis. The Seven Step Cleaning Procedure is as follows: empty trash, high dust, damp wipe horizontal surfaces using germicidal cleaner, clean bathroom, dust mop, wet mop, inspect room for cleanliness.
Has access to clean supply areas including, but not limited to IV solutions, needles, and syringes for the purpose of obtaining and restocking linen and/or supplies.
Conducts herself/himself in a safe manner by utilizing all safety precautions and personal protective equipment available. Reports any items in need of repair or unusual findings to Supervisor.
Complies with Departmental rules and regulations.
Complies with uniform policy and maintains good personal hygiene.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs duties in a manner that is consistent with the hospital's core values and the language of caring habits.
Attends mandatory departmental meetings, hospital in-services, and continuing education programs to keep informed of new developments affecting hospital initiatives and his/her area of expertise.
Participates on Continuous Improvement Teams as required. Performs tasks necessary for maintenance and improvement of his/her functional area within the department.
Maintains effective, timely lines of communication with his/her supervisor and co-workers.
Maintains acceptable attendance and punctuality in order to maximize his/her contribution to the organization in accordance with hospital policy.
Acknowledges his/her ultimate responsibility is to directly or indirectly serve the needs of every patient as defined in the HCGH Mission Statement.
Qualifications
High School Diploma preferred (8th grade completion - required)
Must be willing and able to use OWN SMART PHONE to scan and input information into EPIC system (WILL TRAIN).
Must be able to read and understand English and basic instructions
Must have smart phone of own in order to track and record information,
Basic record keeping experience
Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
