Job Description

:

As the Printing environmental product steward, you will collaboratively partner with a variety of HP internal teams to lead and participant product programs, sustainable impact initiatives as well as implementing new or changing regulation and market access requirements.

This role will work with design teams to establish the product Design for Environment (DfE) goals, manage through the entire product development life cycle to implement the goals with internal stakeholders, deliver the product launch with 100% goals met.

This role will also monitor and enable the sustaining product compliance and market access through the whole lifecycle of the product shipment with key partners including business teams, operation teams etc.

Besides working on the new product intro and current product compliance, the printing product steward also leads/supports Sustainable Impact (SI) programs that help deliver on our company wide SI goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as cross-team subject matter expert on specific topics (e.g., RoHS, Energy Star, EPEAT), being the consultant and ‘go to person’ for specific domains.
  • Set product environmental goals with design teams, communicate improvement required with stakeholders, track and measure the progress during development phases, deliver 100% with the goals assigned.
  • Ensure product continuously compliance and enable market access for sustaining products through leading new or changing requirements implantation.
  • Lead projects and engage with stakeholders, develop schedules, allocate budget and resources, execute to the product portfolio, report progress, and escalate risks to business team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, business management or equivalent experience required.
  • Early career, fresh graduates from college or less than 3 years’ working experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Agility to work with a diverse set of partners, stakeholders, technologists, across the globe of multiple time zones.
  • Project management skills and tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
  • Excellent skills in MS office tools - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, SharePoint applications, etc.
  • Good communication skills in-person and virtually.
  • Good organizational and presentation skills
  • Software packages/tools on data analytical and reporting

Additionally, it is a plus to have

  • LCA knowledge on methodology and calculation
  • Experience/exposure to PowerBI and SmartSheets
  • Passion and background knowledge of sustainability

Per the California and Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is USD $62,000 – $84,300 Annual. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
