Process Engineer Technician


Employment Type: Contract to full-time


Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST


  • 2 days on 2 days off-3 days on 2 days off

About this role:


Use your technical and troubleshooting skills to good use in producing high quality eye care equipment. We partner with eye care professionals to provide some of the world’s leading products and technologies to address refractive error, cataracts, dry eye, and beyond. Core Tasks - In this job, you will:


  • Monitor equipment and process status for new products and new installations.
  • Perform all responsibilities necessary to operate, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain the equipment.
  • Maintain current knowledge and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications.
  • Successfully complete the requirements for line certification.
  • Coordinate, perform, and document troubleshooting activities
  • Perform routine cleaning and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform a variety of tasks needed to monitor and adjust the process to improve throughput.

About this role:


The Repackaging Operator will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to repackage J&J products to be distributed to clients.


Core Tasks - In this job, employees will:


  • Tend to the cartoner operation and changing carton sizes (20%)
  • Perform necessary lot changes (repackaging line clearance) and paperwork (physical and digital) (5%)
  • Retrieve incoming product from distribution or quarantine and transfer to Rework staging(15%)
  • Unload cartoned product and case pack for delivery to quarantine where the products will be tested (20%)
  • Assist with destruction (5%)
  • Decarton product that requires array inspection. (10%)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. (5%)
  • Perform required inspections (visual) on product (20%)


General Skills and Abilities - You:


  • Must be able to work well with hands-handling small items
  • Ability to be conscious of quality standards while visually inspecting products
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing atmosphere, which can be busy and noisy (hearing protection not required but allowed)
  • Must have attention to detail to ensure product quality and documentation
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to perform within production standards
  • Must be able to complete the following activities: Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, grasping,

About this role:


After successfully completing training, the CNC Operator will provide CNC fabrication of optical inserts (sphere & aspheric designs) and associated components used on multiple injection molding platforms. This person will also perform all work with adherence to safety procedures and GMP/ISO requirements.


Core Tasks - In this job, you will:


  • Utilize Optical Tooling CNC machines & platforms to possibly include: Mazak Lathes (up to 4 axis-blanks and milling process), Precitech Nanoform X (Pre-machine or optical finish diamond turning (OFDT), Moore 450 (OFDT), Moore 250 (OFDT), Precitech Nanoform 250 (OFDT).
  • Work on fabrication of high quality, tight tolerance (+/- 2 microns) products and perform work to meet established standards
  • Adhere to compliance and all safety requirements, Product/Production quality and Production efficiency
  • Participate in activities related to the overall success of the department, such as: Safety- Inspections/Procedure/Reviews, Quality- Document revisions, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives
  • Using measurements tool ensure quality accuracy against established standards


General Skills and Abilities - You:


  • Are able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to adhere to standards
  • Have the ability to perform tasks such as Walking, Bending, Pulling, Light Lifting (Up to 23 lbs.), Grasping, Visual Acuity, Kneeling, Reaching, Pushing, Talking, Standing.
  • Must be able to stand for at least one hour at a time
