Job Description
Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is recruiting for a Electrical Designer I at our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities
  • Input the required design data into electrical index as per the defined structure and format
  • Carry out lighting illumination calculations
  • 3D Modelling using Aveva PDMS/E3D and Revit
  • Prepare earthing layout drawings
  • Prepare cable schedules
  • Prepare electrical installation detail drawings
  • Prepare material requisitions for bulk materials and technical bid evaluations
  • Carry out cable tray routing drawings 3D Modelling for cable trays and panels
  • Prepare lighting and small power layout drawings
  • Prepare electrical MTO’s
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills
  • Uses of AutoCAD 2016 and higher is a plus
  • Graduate of an Engineering Design Technology program
  • Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork
  • Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to win
  • Recent graduate 0-4 year experience
  • 3D design/drafting in Aveva PDMS/E3D and Revit are a plus
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.
