Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) - Artificial Intelligence


FoundingTeams.com is a new platform where AI founders can build and grow their products by hiring talent for equity only. We connect founders with technical and commercial talent who are willing to work part-time for equity in the startup.

An Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) is an experienced entrepreneur or industry expert who works within a venture capital firm, startup accelerator, or similar organization to provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to portfolio companies or startups. The EIR typically brings a wealth of practical knowledge, insights, and connections to help drive the growth and success of the companies they engage with.


This Entrepreneur in Residence position will primarily identify market opportunities and creates new startups. You have a strong background in Machine Learning/ Data Science and specific industry knowledge.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Raise funding
  • Lead research through consultations with industry experts and potential customers
  • Develop a financial model for the new business
  • Define the problem and solution space
  • Define market opportunity
  • Build team, MVP and grow customer base
  • Define product features
  • Create a vision for an AI startup
  • Define the go-to-market strategy


Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Mentorship and Advising: Offer strategic advice, mentorship, and guidance to startup founders and teams on various aspects of their business, including product development, go-to-market strategies, fundraising, operational challenges, and scaling.
  2. Business Development: Assist portfolio companies in building partnerships, identifying potential customers, and exploring new markets or opportunities.
  3. Networking: Leverage your industry contacts, connections, and expertise to help portfolio companies access relevant networks, potential investors, and other valuable resources.
  4. Ideation and Innovation: Collaborate with founders and teams to brainstorm new ideas, innovative approaches, and solutions to overcome obstacles or capitalize on emerging trends.
  5. Validation and Market Insights: Help startups validate their business models, refine their value propositions, and understand market dynamics through your practical experience and insights.
  6. Due Diligence: Participate in the evaluation of potential investments by providing your expert opinion and insights into market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth potential.
  7. Education and Workshops: Conduct workshops, seminars, or training sessions for startup teams to enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of key business concepts.
  8. Transition Support: Assist startups during key transitional phases, such as leadership changes, pivots, or expansions, by providing hands-on support and advice.
  9. Collaboration: Engage with the internal team of the venture capital firm or accelerator to contribute to the overall success of the organization, share industry trends, and participate in strategic discussions.
