System Quality Program Management

Partner with global business groups at HP. Pulling dynamic information from these groups to correlate information to provide ecosystem quality validation and report to stakeholders and HP Leadership. Collaborate on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Engages with, and provides expertise, to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgement as well as teamwork within broadly defined policies and practices to devise best method for accomplishing work. Exposure to the diverse cultures at HP and may provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level or less experienced employees.

Responsibilities:

• Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software quality assurance leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drives innovation and integration of modern technologies into projects and activities in the software quality assurance organization.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
• Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development and quality assurance partners on software and firmware design and development.
• Responsible for all stages of quality assurance for complex products and platforms, including testing strategy, analysis, results evaluation, and proposed corrective actions.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Collaborating with multiple project teams, internal and external software quality assurance engineers, and development partners.

Focus Area:

• Analyze test results and coordinate with developers to settle problems related to defects.
• First program quality contact point for stakeholders such as R&D and Tech Marketing Engineer, etc.
• Manage test execution of the continuous agile EPI-based release test plan (adjust test resources, priorities, etc. based on daily test results).
• Define test coverage and share the whole test plan by designing the schedule to run testing within specific time limits and budgets.
• Support and Guide specialty test area teams in India
• Retrospective of the project after Validation and Release for betterment of testing
• Attend Program Management Team (PMT), Quality Assurance, Defect Review meetings as applicable.
• Eco-System validation and quality metrics based on firmware program release cadence.
• Monitor and manage high-risk issues and work together with partners to resolve them.
• Present status and high-risk features to stakeholders
• Point of escalation for groups that are struggling with accomplishing tasks with partners.

Education and Experience Required:

• Experience in overall architecture and software design for products and solutions.
• Extensive experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes.
• Typically, 6-10 years of experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with design and integration of software running on multiple platform types.
• Knowledge and Skills:
• Evaluating forms and processes for software testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English and local language.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
