Job Description
Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries
Provides support to new and/or existing accounts related to billing, reconciliation, collection, and cash application processes. Works with internal/external customers, vendors, and/or partners to resolve issues. May create, analyze and respond to standard and/or non-standard reports/billing request. Candidate may have responsibility for monitoring internal premium metrics and account service standards. Previous work experience preferably in a financial, customer service or banking environment.
Responsibilities :
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Processing Daily Incoming Correspondences via mail, BOA Correspondences, faxes, emails
Accurately and timely post the auto and manual premium payments received from the bank lockboxes
Accurately and timely post unprocessed payments
Remote Depositing Fall Out/Rejected Payments
Process SSA Fall Outs/SSA Retractions and ACH Returned Items
Resolve Call Trackers/One View Accounts
Resolve Credit Balance Accounts/Aging Reports /Unapplied Accounts
Resolve Varies Premium Billing ADHOC Reports
Research and resolve payment discrepancies and BOA discrepancies
Assist with month end Reconciliation, as needed
Providing excellent Customer Service via incoming and outgoing phone/e-mail communications
Meet or exceed all departmental metrics/targets
Participate in any work groups and testing as assigned.
Support and act on all department and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications :
Requires general understanding of accounting and business processes and a commitment and focus to superior customer service and satisfaction.
The successful incumbent should have good PC, computer systems, and data entry skills knowledge as well as refined communication skills for identifying and resolving customer problems.
Position requires good written and verbal communication skills. Mathematical skills for understanding rates, billing and reconciliation process. Strong customer satisfaction focus.
This knowledge prepares the successful incumbent to perform a variety of account management tasks and successfully analyze/resolve problems regarding eligibility in Cigna's Medicare Advantage plans.
Knowledge of Cigna's Medicare Advantage products, CMS regulations is helpful.
Ability to identify appropriate matrix partners/areas that need to be involved in implementation and maintenance.
Knowledge/understanding of the interrelationships between Cigna HealthCare matrix partners.
Ability to balance Cigna HealthCare priorities with customer priorities to achieve a successful customer relationship.
Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.
Preferred :
Prior experience with Medicare and/or Medicare Advantage
Prior experience with Medicare Part D
Familiar with MAPD and PDP regulations

1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17 - 22 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
