Job Description

Summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn seeks a thoughtful, creative, and dedicated professional to lead efforts around new strategic partnerships that increase access to a UM-Dearborn degree.


Under the general supervision of the Vice Provost of Enrollment Management, the Enrollment Partnership Specialist, provides leadership in identifying, developing and executing new and innovative partnerships. Engagement will include, but not limited to, K-12, community colleges, international institutions; and community partners that align with strategic goals and provide seamless pathways to higher education.


This position will work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators both on campus and at the key external partners to help identify, propose and develop innovative initiatives that support campus goals. The Enrollment Partnership Specialist is responsible for making sure planning and implementation runs smoothly to meet objectives of both the campus and the partner. Additionally, they work collaboratively between campus and external partners to ensure everyone is informed on the demands and goals to roll out a successful new agreement or program.


As an essential member of the Enrollment Leadership Team, this role is expected to invest in new ideas, and support coordination that launch effective programs that fulfill the university’s mission and strategic enrollment plan.

Responsibilities*

(40%): Lead execution of new external partnerships agreements and programs by:


  • Facilitate all activities around contracts and agreements are executed timely and accurately to meet university objectives.
  • Plan and manage multiple active partnerships, resources, and timelines
  • Developing a comprehensive strategic partnership plan for every implementation, ensuring project timelines, student impact, and business results are achieved.
  • Develops, documents and trains as needed to ensure consistency, transparency, and seamless transition from implementation to staff who will lead new partnership agreements once operational.
  • Coordinate all stakeholders and keep them up-to-date on progress and deadlines
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, EM leadership and External Relations (ER) to support the development and implementation of a communication plan
  • Deliver presentations to groups in order to build awareness of new partnership potential advantages.
  • Provide proactive support that anticipates needs to ensure deadlines are met


(25%):
Research and Recommend New Partnerships

  • Develop comprehensive recommendations and prioritization based on impact to strategic goals, and necessary allocation of financial and human resources needed to successfully roll out key enhancements
  • Research opportunities based on trends, best practices, return on investment (ROI), and meeting university strategic enrollment goals.
  • Work cross functionally with campus and partners to identify beneficial new partnerships to support strategic enrollment goals.


(25%): Monitor, Evaluate & Assess Established Agreements

  • Conduct annual evaluation of active agreements and programs
  • Track and lead reassessment on expiring contract and agreement to determine appropriate renewal actions
  • Coordinate with IRE on requests for data/statistics on programs
  • Facilitate continuous and positive relationship building among external partners
  • Assess and report on partner program trends; provide recommendations to leadership based on findings on how programs are meeting intended outcomes


(10)%: Other duties


  • Serve as main contact on external enrollment partnership agreements
  • Completes special assignments and projects as requested by the Vice Provost
  • Represents, as requested, on various committees and initiatives within the division, university, and external organizations and partnerships
  • Serves on the Enrollment Management Leadership Team adding input and best practices to support priorities and goal-setting

  • Ability to organize tasks and utilize office technology (i.e. Microsoft, Google Docs) to communicate effectively and complete tasks.
  • Relationships: Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, and earn respect through the credibility of knowledge and positive approach to problem solving
  • Communication: Shares relevant and appropriate information and provides stakeholders with the information required for them to function.
  • Evidence of experience providing presentations, delivering training/meeting, and producing reports for a variety of audiences in a variety of settings.
  • Flexible: the ability to juggle numerous competing priorities, create and implement plans, and follow-through with assigned tasks and projects;

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience working in a diverse university environment
  • Knowledge of: educational practices, K-12, Community College, Adult Education, and/or University educational policies and practices;
