Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position
is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Responsibilities:
Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is looking to hire an Engineerig Technician.

Noblis MSD is currently looking to hire an Engineering Technician who will:
  • Fabrication of Prototype Models
  • Be responsible for lab and testing setup both at NSWCPD and TDY locations including
    • Test Site / Lab Design and Setup
    • Execution of Controls and Data Acquisition System (DAS) Testing
    • Fabrication of Prototype Models
    • Installation and Calibration of Sensors and Monitors
  • Provide support to Machinery Silencing Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia (NSWCPD)
  • Support U.S. Navy personnel as needed for general test site and labatory organization, setup, and clean-up efforts
  • Execution of Controls and Data Acquisition System (DAS) Testing
  • Test Site / Lab Design and Setup
  • Installation and Calibration of Sensors and Monitors
  • Travel with U.S. Navy personnel as needed and assist in setup of test site at TDY locations (see qualifications)
Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting testing on mechanical and/or electrical systems and equipment in a lab or industrial environment.
  • A minimum of a HS degree and four (4) years' experience as an Engineering Technician supporting engineering laboratories or test facilities, preferably for the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience supporting engineering laboratories or test facilities, preferably for the Department of Defense (DoD) is preferred.
  • The position requires you either have or obtain a Secret Security clearance
Desired skills and knowledge:
  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy or other DoD labs is a plus.
  • Past U.S. Navy experience or work in support of U.S. Navy is a plus.
