Job Description

My client who produce innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices with a particular focus on high growth and ingenuity are expanding, with their custom-made devices making a huge difference in the lives of medical professionals and their patients.


They are looking for a Engineering Manager to join the team, who will manage, lead, develop, and maintain engineering functions and systems that meet Customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and evaluates new equipment and processes that will increase capacity or reduce lead times to customer
  • Directly supports the qualification and validation activities associated with manufacturing equipment and special processes
  • Estimates project timelines and budgets for specific aspects of projects and communicates progress to management
  • Conducts or guides testing and data analysis which demonstrate that new processes meet acceptable criteria
  • Uses Lean Manufacturing techniques to find root causes and eliminate waste from manufacturing processes and maximize efficiencies

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience within a regulated industry a plus
  • Demonstrate ownership of and ability to manage project assignments with a broad scope and able to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner
  • Modeling/drafting experience with Solidworks or similar CAD systems
  • Solid understanding and ability to lead Lean or TOC improvement initiatives
  • Experience in an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing environment preferred
  • Lean proficiency and/or Green/Black Belt in Six Sigma is preferred
  • Familiarity with MasterCam, Esprit, Partmaker, or similar CAM systems is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus two or more years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience and knowledge in Pro-E Design Software
  • Working knowledge of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
