Fox is looking to add a Front End Engineer to our Platforms team. This person will join a fast growing team that builds, deploys, and distribute our vast content ecosystem. You will architect and build scalable, durable and flexible technology that powers our consumer-facing applications and contribute to our content management tools.

About The Role

In addition to being a hands-on technical leader, you will also work with our Product, Project, and Operations teams to service our multiple business partners with enterprise-level solutions. You will contribute to our architecture roadmap and lead a team of talented developers as they plan, develop and ship best-in-class tech.

a Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities

• Our consumer facing front-end applications, written in Nuxt.js, which are engineered for performance, scalability, and SEO
• You will contribute to our product roadmap
• Be a leader during our transition to the Scalable Agile Framework
• You will contribute to project planning and delivery
• You will prototype new tools and applications, as the scope of work and team capability continue to increase
• An internal Vue.js application that controls templating for the consumer-facing front-ends
• You will own two core pieces of our product:
• You will manage and mentor a team of developers working on these projects. This team is expected to grow as our products and services are adopted across all Fox brands
• You will work on tooling that increases productivity and makes the develop-to-deploy pipeline run smoothly

What You Will Need

• Github
• Javascript/Typescript
• Strong background in JavaScript, especially with Node.js
• History of executing large enterprise scale product delivery, especially with tasks requiring coordination across multiple engineering teams
• Docker
• Excellent communication skills, especially in outlining technical requirements and documentation for a development team
• JS frameworks (Vue/Nuxt preferred, React/Next helpful)
• Background in Continuous Delivery & Continuous Integration processes
• Node
• Jira
• Experience with editorial systems like WordPress, with background in development of editorial UX and custom plugins
• Experience managing highly performant Agile teams

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $118,000.00-133,500.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
