Engineer- Controls/Electrical Jobs

The Controls & Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development of the maintenance program for the C&E (Controls & Electrical) system.

This role is also responsible for the integration of new projects into the factory in regard to C&E. She/he is responsible for managing C&E partners, allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team.

What are we looking for?

• Alternatively, background in electrical and controls, paired with relevant project management experience may be considered.
• Experience within the Food industry is considered an advantage
• Experienced in managing and building effective project teams made up of cross functional team members
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Ideally at least 5-8 years of experience in the engineering function.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Ensure Safety Everywhere

• Execute and communicate safety practices
• Own site electrical safety program
• Ensure all standardized equipment and sub-equipment are compliant with Mars safety standard and local regulation.
• Contribute to a winning environment which promotes safety
• Job holder has responsibilities for managing training vendors and contractors on site including ensuring the availability of quality and safety training programs
• Support safety, security and environmental policies

Manage C&E project deliverables in line with the project plan

• Key member and contributor of the Pre-work, Checkout, Commissioning, Validation & Startup

C&E Maintenance Program

• Give direction to the Controls tech in support of the maintenance program
• Develop and deploy a C&E maintenance program
• Train maintenance technicians on C&E program along with skills to execute
• Ownership of the site calibration process

Execute C&E CVS activities

• Lead the C&E planning and execution validation activities
• Work with Regional C&E engineer to Design and Implement C&E projects
• Develop accurate and achievable project schedules
• Execute all CVS activities including Check-out, Commissioning, Validation and Start-up
• Execute Check-out, commissioning, validation and start-up
• Proactively escalate to line manager any risk of deviation
