Our Proesis Bio Miramar team seeks a kind, compassionate, and enthusiastic Medical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Medical Specialist (EMS), Registered Nurse (RN) OR Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) certification. The Medical Specialist will watch closely to determine if donors experience adverse reactions to the donation process. This position reports directly to their Supervisor and will work alongside other medical specialists and donor center staff to provide an elevated and compliant plasma collection process. This position is full-time, offering 8-hour daily shifts within our center. Over time, it is our goal at Proesis to will help you grow your career as we grow as a company.

Requirements:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead, document, and follow-up on Donor Adverse Events (DAEs).
- Consult with Center Medical Director on all abnormal test results and all medical events.
- Provide appropriate and confidential counseling, as necessary.
- Perform physical examinations for donors and review accumulated data in a timely manner to confirm established donor suitability.
- Determine the need and call for emergency medical assistance when necessary.
- Always maintain exceptional customer service.
- Monitor donors for adverse donation reactions.
- Other duties as requested by Supervisor
- Determine donor suitability in accordance with all applicable regulatory agencies and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications and Education:
- Manage emergency situations in accordance with standard medical care practices.
- Excellent donor interfacing skills.
- Possess a current and valid EMT, EMS, RN, or LPN licensure necessary for working state.
- Must possess an active CPR certification.
- Ability to operate computer software and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- One (1) or more years’ experience desired (recent grads are encouraged to apply).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for up three (3) hours at a time.
- Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
- Be able to bend, stoop or kneel.
- Specific vision and hearing abilities are required to be successful within the role
