Reporting to the Vice President of Talent and People Experience, the Employee Relations Partner will drive consistency in Form Factor’s approach to investigations and employee relation issues with a high emphasis on ensuring process and recommended actions are thorough, fair and consistent. The Employee Relations partner will be responsible for conducting complex workplace investigations and analyzing trends to help create proactive programs to help sustain a positive employee culture.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Employee Relations practitioner who has a thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable employment laws and regulations, as well as extensive employee relations experience across both exempt and non-exempt populations. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of conducting complex workplace investigations, collaborating and aligning with internal partners, and ensuring comprehensive reporting and high quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
Investigations
- Provide objective recommendations based on findings and applicable laws and/or policies
- Conduct investigations involving allegations of policy and/or employment legal violations, working to ensure that issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
- Ensure consistent application of Form Factor’s policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
Team Partnership
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and People Experience Partners to ensure correct application and integration of policies on issues with risk
- Develop effective relationships with People Experience Partners to promote positive employee relations throughout the organization to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and engagement
- Support employee relations related training for Form Factor managers and other members of the People team
Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with People Team VP to refine the investigation model, from reporting to post-action, ensuring an equitable and transparent employee experience
- Analyze employee relations trends for root cause in conjunction with People Team VP and advise on proactive strategies, solutions, programs and policies

- Experience successfully analyzing data, understanding complex situations and developing effective high quality solutions rapidly
- Genuine desire to promote a fair and positive work environment for all employees
- History of building trust, credibility and relationships with employees, peers and managers, providing honest and constructive feedback
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities independently
- Coaching skills to help employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You communicate clearly and concisely through detailed, accurate documentation and clear reporting summaries
- Unwavering integrity and an ability to maintain confidence in all situations
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of five years Employee Relations Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Working knowledge of all relevant federal, state and local employment laws and regulations including but not limited to: FLSA, EEOC, ADA, ADEA, and OSHA
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Must have CA state HR experience
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $84,600 and $111,100. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
