Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for wiring, troubleshooting and programming new and rebuilt equipment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assists, mentors, and trains other maintenance and/or Level I technicians.
  • Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
  • Performs mid-level tasks such as electronic troubleshooting, wiring, and repairing oilfield service equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
  • Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, instrumentation, gages and test equipment.
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
Educational And Other Requirements
  • Must work independently and as a member of team.
  • Ability to comprehend and demonstrate proficiency of complex electrical circuits.
  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have served as an Electronic Technician Level I for a minimum of 6 months or have equivalent working experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
  • Frequent travel may be required.
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
  • Must have a general knowledge of the equipment and demonstrate the ability to repair the equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment.
Mental And Physical Requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.
  • Able to read, speak and write English.
