Under the direction of the supervisor, the Electronic Technician 1 shall inspect, diagnose and repair Olympus and Olympus related electronic products using a variety of test equipment to diagnose and make repairs. Completes and maintains accurate service records both electronically and manually. Ensures that safe work practices are employed by observing guidelines established or enforced by Olympus.
Job Duties
- Maintains confidentiality of documents and processes.
- The technician must understand and accept the responsibility to ensure the safety of all Olympus or Olympus related products that are repaired, by following established processes and procedures.
- The technician will be expected to maintain acceptable standards for attendance and punctuality, and as a condition of employment, work overtime as needed.
- The technician must accomplish these objectives while maintaining a clean, well organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as directed
- The Technician applies acquired job skills related to the repair of Olympus and Olympus related electronics devices.
- Responsible for asset pass fail inspection, cleaning and conducting electrical safety check of the products.
- May help with intermittent and unknown phenomena.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain acceptable levels of quality and productivity as acquired thru technical training and demonstrated aptitude within a designated skill set and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Proactively participates in the quality systems, quality improvement and 5S programs as directed by the Supervisor and or Manager.
- Remove and replace faulty, defective and broken parts. Isolate faulty circuits, defective module and parts with latent damage.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Must be customer focused/oriented.
- Experience or ability to work with test equipment (such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, pattern generators).
- AA/AS degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering preferred or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent knowledge and responsibilities in the Electronics/Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering technical field
- Demonstrated ability to teach and model technical skills, concepts, resources and tools
- Possess basic computer skills (including keyboard and mouse skills.
- Candidates must have sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools.
- The ability to read and follow manuals, work instructions, job standards and related information.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
** The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $22-$28.60 per hour, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
