Job Description
  • Join Our Team! **Lavelle Industries is looking to add an Electromechanical Technician to our Whitewater location. This position will work directly alongside our engineering and maintenance teams and focus on troubleshooting and increasing OEE through improvement projects. The Electromechanical Technician be involved with a wide breadth of machine and process troubleshooting.
The Electromechanical Technician will work with Engineering to analyze data from various sources and make recommendations for equipment improvements that will lead to improved OEE. As part of the improvement cycle, The Electromechanical Technician will be heavily involved in the physical execution of these improvement projects.
In addition to making improvements to existing processes, the Electromechanical Technician will assist maintenance team with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

  • Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
  • Must be a self-started with excellent time, and project management skills.
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns).
  • Associate's degree Electromechanical Technology is preferred.

  • REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Experience in a manufacturing/facilities environment.

  • Support all automation initiatives primarily through troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment including PLC control adjustments.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, including updating and troubleshooting., Control Panel Building and pneumatic experience a plus.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and other Web-based applications
  • :
  • Training maintenance employees on basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams focusing on automation.
  • Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
  • Experience with troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.).

  • Experience with electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
  • :
  • Fill the role of consultant when the Maintenance team has exhausted their resources on an any equipment issue.
  • Build Electrical Control Panels and pneumatic panels from Schematic drawings, making sure any changes are documented.
  • Respond decisively to equipment issues and implementing effective/sustainable corrective actions.
  • Experience with reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
  • Free on-site health clinic
  • Support the plant in general maintenance objectives when necessary.
  • Ignition or Python knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience with schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays).
