In this position...

Communicate and work with multi-functional groups (e.g. Ind Eng, MP&L, B&F, PD, NMP, Adv. Manufacturing, etc.) to deliver programs and implement technology.

Support development and implementation of Strategies, Procedures, Guidelines, Bill of Process, Mfg Design Standards to maintain consistency across programs.

Ensure Manufacturing Point of View is represented with Product Development for DFA/DFM, FMA (DFMEA, SCCAF, PFMEA, Process Reconciliation, etc.)

Process engineering knowledge including GPDS deliverables ad impact(s) to plant operations

Experience in Designing/Commissioning manufacturing


You'll have...

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years experience in industry
  • Experience required interaction with senior leadership, process engineering and plant production teams.
  • Ability to manage a technical organization while maintaining morale and high levels of productivity.
  • Self-starting, self-directed with extremely good influential, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong manufacturing background with heavy emphasis on production related controls experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead personnel located at remote sites.

  • Joint Venture (working with partners) experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver by adhering to Ford+ Performance Leadership Behaviors/Methodology
  • Ability to travel during Engineering, Equipment Build, Installation, Commissioning and Launch phase of project.

What you'll do...

Lead simultaneous engineering meetings with OEMs and orchestrate Process/Controls program reviews with all Ford partners

Represent Ford Motor Company in a professional and positive light with all partners (JV, PD, OEMs, etc.)

Incorporate continuous improvements utilizing ME Continuous Improvement/Lessons Learned, Deviation and Decision Record Process.

Significant exposure/familiarity of all program (GPDS) delivery elements from the cost study phase to launch.

Drive Innovation, strive for Technical Excellence

Support/drive protection of Ford’s IP during process development

Drive resolution of major program issues.

Lead technical direction for post-delivery changes to equipment.

Provide technical support to various organizations.

Identify, assess, and select suppliers and subcontractors.

Lead/Support Engineering Peer Review meetings.

Lead, mentor, coach, counsel, recognize and empower employees, as necessary.

Lead/support procurement of all equipment to support new programs.

Drive continuous improvement approach in all objectives.

Establish and maintain consistent priorities to fully utilize engineering resources in the most efficient manner.

Assess employee competencies and support Individual Development Plans; training classes, Competency development on various topics as required.

Monitor engineering application of Strategies, Procedures, Guidelines for delivery of programs tracked system

Perform supervisory duties (objectives, partnership discussions, check-ins, and performance evaluations, travel requests, timecard approvals, compensation planning) for all personnel assigned.
