Expected hourly rate of $51.80, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The position will be within the Maintenance Department and is responsible for performing all general electrical maintenance on power plant equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform predictive/preventive maintenance.
• Perform electrical maintenance on generators, transformers and MOV’s.
• Perform troubleshooting on plant equipment such as power and control circuits, heaters, motors and transformers using electrical test instruments.
• Provide technical support to plant operations, maintenance staff and engineering.
• Perform work package planning when assigned.
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner at the direction of Maintenance Management.
• Verify/hold clearance orders.
• Perform any other duties as assigned in accordance with Article 5.12 of the CBA.
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams on major projects.
• Adheres to the conduct of maintenance and established maintenance standards and practices.
• Interpret and understand power plant prints.
• Perform independent verification checks on maintenance items covered in maintenance technician training.

POSITION SCOPE

• The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Position reports to Maintenance Foreman

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle
• Available for overtime as required in accordance with Article 5.8 of the CBA
• Basic computer skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics OR
• HS Diploma with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology
• Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances
• Successfully complete the training requirements and time in job requirements for the position including previously passing the MASS test
