Electrical Engineer Technician 1 / High Voltage- Substation Engineering

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electrical Engineer Technician and provide engineering support to a High Voltage equipment group within a regional electric utility. This individual will provide electrical engineering technician services in the area of HVAC including switchgear, arrestors and fault studies. This position will include conducting engineering studies and analysis and wide array of specialized technical tasks for assigned projects in order to design and support high voltage substation equipment.
This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is part time working approximately 20 - 30 hours a week onsite and located in Vancouver, Washington.
The hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.41) is $25.15.
The Ideal Candidates Must Possess The Following Experience

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, mathematics, computer science or a closely related field is preferred. 6 months of experience is required with or without a degree. Experience must include electrical engineering work in a technical/engineering environment experience. Basic knowledge of power system fundamentals. Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) sufficient to create technical specifications and requirements for a variety of technical and contracting documentation. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
