Educational Special Support Assistants - Immediate Start

Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in special education. Educational Special Support Assistants will support licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs.

Key Duties:

• Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed
• Provides support for students in crisis
• Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
• Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
• Assisting licensed staff in the classroom
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning

Minimum Requirements:

• 60 credits, Associates Degree, or obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessment
• Experience working with children

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous experience working in special education
• Behavioral Technician or PCA experience
• Crisis prevention training

Additional Requirements:

Additional requirements include US Work Authorization. Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

Pay:

• $15 - $20 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
