Job Description
We're hiring an Editorial Production Assistant to support The Infatuation's expanding dining coverage. As Editorial Production Assistant, you will join a team that produces regularly-updated restaurant guides for dozens of cities around the country, highlights exciting domestic travel destinations through the lens of restaurants, and envisions new content opportunities for The Infatuation.


We're looking for an Editorial Production Assistant to help coordinate the publication of restaurant guides in cities around the world. In this role, you'll work with our travel team to find and contact freelance writers and photographers, schedule photo shoots, prepare content for publication, and keep travel projects on track. The ideal candidate is organized, extremely detail-oriented, communicative, comfortable with cold emailing and follow ups, and interested in learning the fundamentals of digital editorial production.


Job Responsibilities


  • Coordinate with the Growth team to distribute content across various Infatuation channels.
  • Work with assigning editors and photography managers to collect and upload photography assets.
  • Research and reach out to freelance writers in our travel cities, and coordinate with other departments to onboard them onto Infatuation systems.
  • Track content output and maintain list of published guides; work with senior editors and growth teams to identify the right cadence for guide updates.
  • Work with the Travel & National team to keep the editorial calendar on schedule and adjust as needed.
  • Proofread, select photos and upload guides for publication using Infatuation's content management system.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills


  • You're comfortable with technology. Experience with a content management system (such as Contentful), G Suite, and a project management system (such as Asana) is not required, but helpful.
  • You're comfortable cold emailing and/or calling, following up, and communicating with patience. Proficiency in language(s) other than English is a plus.
  • 1-2 years professional experience in a coordination or support role, ideally within editorial or creative industry.
  • You're detail-oriented and can ensure production values are always high, have the ability to spot inconsistent formatting and typos easily, and an eye for photos that will grab the reader and tell a story.
  • You're organized and able to manage multiple projects at once, adjusting priorities and changing focus as needed to accommodate deadlines or scheduling issues.
  • You're interested in the operational and production side of a growing digital media outlet.
