Job Description
Quality Control Editor: Proven Content is a dynamic B2B content marketing agency, specializing in custom content for newsletters, blogs, and social media marketing. We provide a variety of online marketing services for a diverse array of national clients and agency partners. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic “word” person to fill a full-time "Editor & Social Media Assistant" position.
This individual will be involved in the production and quality control of content for multiple clients' digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who does not need to be micro-managed. This person will deliver quality and consistency in a timely, proactive, and responsible manner. This position will report to the company's "Director Of Client Services". The "Editor" will support not only written content, but other forms of content as well, including video, graphics, and podcasts. This person also will also accomplish tasks using internal software applications. Responsibilities include: Work closely with Managing Editor on editorial calendar and planning functions. Provide detailed copy edits quickly and efficiently. Verify author sources for all content types and perform hyperlink resolution checks. Schedule and publish videos, posts, and other content items. Perform quality checks on all content items prior to publishing including emails, blog posts, press releases, newsletter articles, and social media posts. Make suggestions for content improvements, adjustments, and quality issues. Ensure quality control standards are met.
Image selection to fit articles. Placing/scheduling client blogs & newsletters. Preferred skills and qualities: B2B content and/or agency background is a strong plus. Exceptional digital research, outlining, writing, and editing skills. Ability to understand and synthesize complex and technical information. Detail-oriented and excellent at planning, calendaring, scheduling, and coordination of multiple tasks. Experience in working with clients both on the phone, in person, and in the video. You will enjoy working with a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic team of talented and hardworking marketing professionals.
