Ed Trauma Data Validation Specialist - Emergency Room

Aspirus is currently seeking a ED TRAUMA VALIDATION SPECIALIST in Wausau, WI to work in the Emergency Department at Aspirus Wausau Hospital . This position is remote. The ED/Trauma Data Validation Specialist audits and makes appropriate changes on all aspects of the census registration and order entry functions for all accounts originating from the Emergency Department. Thereby providing accurate documentation to enhance patient, family and payer satisfaction and to allow Hospital to receive appropriate reimbursement for services provided.

Hours: This position is Part - Time; 0.6 FTE or 48 hours per pay period.

Experience/Qualifications/Licensure

• Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
• Knowledge of office procedures in a health care environment normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, with formal typing/computer courses and acute care environment experience beneficial, along with medical terminology, basic ICD-10 and CPT coding, and basic reputareaction.
