Job Description
Status:
FT - nights - 7p-7a
PT
PRN - as needed
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promptly answers telephones and public inquiries appropriately.
  • Performs EKGs and phlebotomy
  • Assists licensed staff with patient care.
  • Conveys STAT orders to appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Cleans patient stretchers and straightens patient’s rooms.
  • Promotes customer service initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Transports patients
  • Assists with suturing and procedures.
  • Assist with pelvic exams
  • Stocks supplies and linens and maintains clean working environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Enters patient charges for items not charged in PYXIS
  • Maintains par levels on supplies.
  • Processes written orders appropriately.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, and other members of the heathcare team
  • Promptly responds to call lights & family/patient requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CPI De-escalation training certification (obtain within 6 months)
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • MA certification or Current RN student strongly desired
  • Current BLS (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
