E-Commerce Associate - Entry Level

Contrix is a customer-centric e-commerce company that has consistently set the standard in audience development for the magazine subscription industry. The Company’s primary goals revolve around new subscriber acquisition for the 1,000 plus titles in its catalog. The Company utilizes proprietary technology to leverage paid search, affiliate, and viral marketing efforts. Contrix is seeking generalists to assist with day to day operations and marketing tasks. This position offers tremendous insight into the inner workings of an ecommerce company from both Marketing and Operations perspectives.

Qualifications

• Reliable and dependable, ability to work standard office hours is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Analytical ability to solve problems efficiently.
• Above average computer and Internet research abilities.
• Nimble – able to handle changing tasks and priorities and adapt quickly with a sense of urgency.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong ability to organize yourself and your tasks and manage your time.
• 1-year experience in the e-commerce industry a plus but not necessary
• Fantastic communication skills – great on the phone and ability to draft clear & grammatically correct customer communications.

Responsibilities

As an E-commerce Associate, applicants should be comfortable wearing many hats and be prepared to work on a variety of projects as well as assist with day to day customer service needs. Additionally, you should feel comfortable working in a small environment of about 8-10 people.

Details

• Oversee & manage company’s outsourced customer service group;
• Identify and recommend optimization opportunities;
• Take on and manage company’s social media pages and efforts;
• Work with in-house developers to optimize website and processes.
• Tackle new projects as they arise
• Analyze issues to identify potential system problems and improvements;
• Monitor agent issue handling and handle escalation requests;
• Manage company’s online affiliate marketing program on various networks;

Other Duties

• Entry level bookkeeping and QuickBooks management
• General organizational office tasks
• Internet research

Plus Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume processing environment.
• Experience in e-commerce marketing is great, but more important is an ability to learn fast.
• Experience with phone and/or online customer service.
