Job Description
Introduction

Prince William County Community Services is looking for some temporary Early Childhood Special Educators (Senior Clinical Services Caseworker). Early Intervention is a team-oriented program dedicated to helping our families meet their outcomes by identifying family priorities and needs and providing individualized services within their daily routines to promote function and learning in a comfortable environment for the family. Our dynamic team consists of the family, Service Coordinators, Speech/Occupational/Physical Therapists, Early Childhood Special Educators, Infant Mental Health Specialist, Hearing and Vision Specialists and Early Intervention Assistants that team regularly to support our families and help each child reach their fullest potential.
About This Role:
The Early Childhood Special Educator must have the ability to schedule independently with the families to provide timely and effective services in compliance with the IFSP requirement. Although the schedule is very flexible, you need to be able to help the families identify appropriate routines to address their concerns.
This is a dynamic and changing environment as each of the families we serve has different needs. All providers are responsible for staying current with Part C knowledge for service delivery, Coaching, Primary Service Provider Approach, Eligibility and Authentic Assessment to provide quality services to our infant and toddlers with special needs and their families.
Timely documentation and service delivery is necessary to maintain compliance with the State of Virginia, Part C and Medicaid. To support professional development, our program values, encourages and provides Staff Teaming, Trainings and Supervision
Preferred Requirements:
Master's Degree in early childhood special education.
Current or eligible for Virginia teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.
At least 1 year experience with 0-3 population.
Part C experience.
Experience with home and community visits.
Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
Work Schedule: Flexible work schedule
Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license;
Must pass DMV record check;
Must pass TB test;
Must possess certification in first aid and infant cardiac pulmonary resuscitation;
Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a finger print national criminal record check.
Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.
Starting Salary Range: $37.06 - $53.35
