As an E & I Technician you will create chemistry by…..


As an E & I Technician you will perform electrical, instrumentation and/or automation maintenance repairs including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, PLC troubleshooting, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of all site equipment.


During your shift as an E & I Technician you will…


  • Requisition repair materials as needed.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision
  • Ensure that instrumentation PM's are completed per schedule and weighing systems are performing within the specifications of the process requirements
  • Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration.
  • Effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Make recommendations to improve maintenance and production operations.
  • Assist in establishing or modifying work procedures including PM's to meet the demands of the site
  • Provide technical support for equipment installation and repairs.
  • Assist in the development PM programs for all new equipment.
  • Gather and analyze technical data and recommend needed repairs or modification.
  • Perform QC on jobs adhering to and instituting procedures to minimize rework.
  • Utilize a hand-held HART /Foundation Fieldbus communicator to diagnose and set-up instruments.
  • Promote all aspects of safety to the E&I technicians and ensure all LOTO and electrical safety procedures are followed.
  • Provide support to other sites as required.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including call-in and impromptu overtime on nights and weekends.
  • Operate, maintain and install complex equipment.
  • Maintain all drawings current following equipment modification.

If you…


  • Have a High School Diploma or GED & 2 years of experience in an Industrial Instrumentation Maintenance Industry
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation or Mechatronics, preferred.
  • Experience with gas burners and associated control systems, preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Allen Bradley, preferred.
