JOB TITLE: Driver / Courier

SUMMARY: DAWSON is looking for the next Driver / Courier to support our federal customers. This position is in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Driver / Courier will be responsible for transportation / delivery of messages, documents, packages and mail to various business concerns or governmental agencies for the Federal Bureau of Investigations Logistics Units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stop at each location every workday
  • Sorting or opening incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Take measures and use good judgement to prevent damage to goods or personal injury while unloading vehicles
  • Drive an automobile or light truck to deliver messages, documents, packages and mail to various business concerns or governmental agencies
  • May occasionally transport office personnel and visitors
  • Accurate transportation of mail/goods/materials
  • Perform miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail to and from the post office

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 year experience
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Holds a current driver’s license that allows operation of contract vehicles
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities.
