Draftsmen - Cad Operator (Construction)

We are looking for a “local” candidate residing in Southern California” that is a detail orientated architectural designer to join our construction Development Department. You will be creating renderings, material boards, sketches and drawings for commercial projects that vary in size and complexity. It will include both site and floor plans on existing and/or future properties that will need to incorporate both interior and exterior sketches for client presentations.

To be successful in this position, you should possess solid knowledge on computer-aided design (CAD) software, and the ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design. A superlative candidate will be someone whose drafting skills and expertise can capture the vision and design intent using color, shading, the right materials and best use of lighting to add vibrancy to captivate and motivate the design to construction.

Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities

• Produce all architectural quality renderings including eye level exterior views, interior views, and balcony and upper level views of the building(s).
• Strong people skills to allow interaction with all Team Members, and local governing agencies.
• Add maps and textures manipulating same to achieve the desired results
• Set up renderer settings and render camera views
• Relentless communication as needed with all to drive and surpass client expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information and data.
• Record contemporaneous time keeping of all activities
• Maintain texture, map and object files
• High-energy individual, driven to represent the Bergman KPRS and create results
• Create camera views per best practices
• Collaborate with team and client during and the throughout process
• Export rendered views to photoshop for further enhancement if necessary
• Edit objects as necessary to fulfill the intent of the design
• Utilization of Graphic Design experience in editing architectural drawings, photos, and renderings.
• Accountability driven in order to manage project workload
• Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architecture design.
• This is an in-house position that will require daily attendance
• Strong client-centric service focus with attention to detail
• Create and add direct and ambient lighting through use of sketches or programs offered
• Visit construction site(s) if necessary, to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
• Add objects and details as necessary throughout the process to complete the design per specifications
• Stable job history
• Develop architectural renderings and presentation drawings for potential projects.
• Conduct all business with the highest ethical and professional standards

Education And Experience

• Extensive portfolio for review
• Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
• Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
• Computer skills and working knowledge of the following software: Autodesk Revit, Autocad, Photoshop
• Individual must possess a bachelor's degree preferably in Architecture Design.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints to accurately discuss project details.
• Minimum 5 Years experience with Interior Exterior Architectural Design and Rendering
