We are currently searching for a full-time Domestic Violence Housing Program Supervisor to join our Calumet team!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all components of the Domestic Violence Housing and Navigation program are implemented, conducted, structured and evaluated.
- Works effectively with diverse staff, community, schools and trainee populations.
- Complete the required narrative and quarterly/annual reports for partners and funder.
- Create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Agency’s mission, vision, guiding principles/code of ethics, and values.
- Assist team with establishing and maintaining a productive partnership with partners and HUD funder.
- Provide regular (weekly) supervision with the team. Ensure team receives the required support to successfully provide direct services to trainees.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Domestic Violence Housing, its goals, objectives, expected outcomes and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensure case notes are recorded within 48 hours of service, this includes all home visits, phone calls, and collateral contact, referrals, direct services, and other related activities.
- Supervise assigned staff in accordance with the Agency’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Interview, hire, terminate and train employees. Plan, assign, and direct work of assigned staff. Appraise performance, reward and address performance deficiencies through coaching and/or corrective action.
- Provide leadership in the recruitment and enrollment and in-depth orientations, conduct individual interviews, assessment/intake; collect personal background information and assess potential.
- Provide direct supervision of staff in the programs.
- Ensure organization and use of technology to support managing the various components of program, including tracking deliverables, services and outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters’ degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field, preferred.
- Ability to establish rapport and relate to persons across multicultural groups.
- 40 Hour DV certificate, preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strategic thinking and innovative leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully manage a team.
- Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to perform essential job function, required.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to relate to a wide range of issues, people, and institutions.
- Employment with MFS requires proof of vaccination or an approved medical exemption, required.
- Knowledge of Rapid Rehousing and HUD regulations, preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field, required.
- Experience in providing leadership in community-based programming with targeted group.
- Knowledge if VAWA and housing services, preferred.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation and be able to commute to various settings to deliver program services and/or meet with clients.
- Five years of post-bachelor’s degree experience in program industry related field, required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- MFS staff are required to provide proof of vaccination or have an approved medical exemption prior to starting employment. If an approved medical exemption is obtained, weekly testing is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
SALARY:
- Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average salary for the position is $62,172.
