Providing our Customers with products they love is a big job, and our 12.1 million square feet of warehousing helps make that possible. Our Distribution Center and Transportation Partners are key to helping stock H-E-B Stores and keeping our supply chain moving all over Texas and Mexico.
As a Dock Worker for H-E-B Transportation, you'll load and unload trailers, safely and thoroughly. You'll operate MHE and promote a safe, clean work environment.

We are looking for:

What is the work?
Transportation Operations:
- Plans and facilitates daily loading and unloading of H-E-B trailers of specific reusables (e.g., pallets, plastic trays and crates, boxes, wrap, ties, assorted returns)
  • Escalates issues outside parameters to appropriate parties
  • Promotes a safe and clean work environment
  • Operates material handling equipment
  • Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with SOPs; unloads completely
  • Maintains a sense of urgency; always prompt and punctual
  • Maintains clean trailers; operates wash equipment; washes trailers as needed

What is your background?
  • 0+ years of experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a Dock Worker for H-E-B Transportation?
  • Working knowledge of related local, state, and federal regulations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of warehouse process for sanitation, including cleaning agents, supplies, and related tools
- Math skills (+, -, *, /)
  • Reading and writing skills
  • Organization skills
- Bi-lingual (English - Spanish) skills a plus
  • Ability to operate machines and equipment in a safe, independent manner
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification in pallet jack and forklift operation
  • Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to operate H-E-B in-house systems (e.g., TINA)
  • Attention to detail

Can you...
  • Frequently lift and carry 7 lbs for duration of a 10 to 12-hour shift
  • Occasionally lift up to 57 lbs
