American Direct Sales is a printing and manufacturing company dedicated to quality and customer service. ADS partners with artists and photographers as well as several print-on-demand companies to print, manufacture, and ship unique, personalized wall art and photo prints on a variety of substrates including, glass, metal, wood, acrylic, plastic, and canvas.


Dock and Conversion Worker

The Dock and Conversion Department is the first and last stop in the workflow and directly impacts the ability of other departments to operate without bottlenecks or downtime. The Dock and Conversion Specialist is responsible for converting materials for production, loading/unloading trucks, and distributing incoming deliveries to the appropriate people/departments.


The Dock and Conversion Specialist is a regular, full-time hourly position. Overtime may be required depending on business volume and demands. The Dock and Conversion Specialist reports to the Dock and Conversion Supervisor.


Responsibilities:

  • Unload material deliveries and complete all paperwork to ensure the accuracy of shipments.
  • Assist with carrier pickups by moving all finished orders to the dock and helping load trucks when necessary.
  • Keep material inventory rotated using First-In; First-Out strategy.
  • Support the Production team by building crates to ship orders and cutting production materials as needed.
  • Ensure production is adequately stocked with materials throughout the day to reduce workflow gaps.
  • Operate band and orbital saws, Zund digital cutter, and Polar paper chopper to cut, route, or mill various materials in preparation for printing, production, or fulfillment. When appropriate match output with order tickets with extreme accuracy.
  • Help organize dock and storage areas and prepare for material orders prior to arrival and make space for completed material prior to departure.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of shipping processes and paperwork
  • Knowledge of federal and state worker safety rules and regulations
  • At least one-year shipping, warehouse, or conversion experience is strongly preferred
  • Capable of working independently and as a contributing team member
  • 1+ year experience operating a forklift is required

Education and Training:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required
