Job Description
we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare administration department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our billing and authorization processes. Key Responsibilities
Billing and Claims Processing:
Accurately process billing charge entries.
Enter precise patient demographics.
Verify insurance information.
Confirm pre-authorizations.
Verify patient eligibility.
Submit claims efficiently.
Workers Compensation
Handle workers' compensation billing.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Authorization
Manage DME authorizations and approvals.
Communication
Maintain effective communication with clinic/hospital providers, patients, team members, and insurance companies via email and phone to prepare claims.
Privacy And Integrity
Uphold the highest level of integrity and confidentiality, adhering to patient privacy guidelines (HIPAA).
Customer Service
Provide outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring positive outcomes and future sales impact.
Additional Duties
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
High School degree or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in customer service or a sales-related area, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
2+ years of experience with insurance and DME prior authorization processes, insurance claim denials, and payment posting, particularly within orthopedic, internal medicine, and hospital case management.
Intermediate proficiency in computer software and telephone technologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Brightree, and related software.
Strong customer service orientation, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and personable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in communication, listening, and conflict resolution.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain strong organizational skills.
Must not be excluded and must maintain non-exclusion status from working with government programs per OIG list.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Regularly required to sit, talk, see, and hear.
Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Reach with hands and arms.
Office deskwork regularly requiring sitting, typing, and talking; using a phone, computer, printer/fax.
Frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 50lbs.
Office and warehouse environment.
