Dispatch Supervisor Jobs

Seeking a Intermodal Dispatch / Operations manager with minimum 2 years of experience in the Memphis Intermodal market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Memphis Intermodal market and those with a truck following move to the head of the line. The candidate must have experience dispatching drivers doing multiple moves per day in the Memphis Intermodal market.

The position will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:

Dispatch and manage drivers and owner operators daily
Work with an established software package updating the progress of the drivers daily
Reply to emails in a timely and professional manner
Create and update reports as needed by customers or corporate
Communicate with customers and drivers via phone and email as needed to provide a high level of service on a daily basis

The Requirements of the job:

Minimum 2 years of experience in intermodal trucking dispatching or similar experiences and communicating with drivers
Good email, written, and verbal skills
Detail orientated organization skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to the processes required
Ability to adapt in planning drivers workload and setting priorities to maximize drivers pay and profit (that's where the bonuses come in..)
Proficient computer skills including outlook, excel and the ability to learn our dispatch software

Salary:

The pay will be between 50-70k plus bonuses and benefits. All this is negotiable depending on what the candiate can bring to the operation via knowledge of the Memphis market as well as drivers and contacts.

Work Location will be at our terminal in Memphis TN and reliable transportation to work daily is a must.
