Dispatch & Delivery Lead Jobs

The Dispatch Lead is responsible for training, leading, and mentoring the driver team to provide efficient timely, quality service to all clients. The position also includes customer service, driver communication, and performance reporting. The Dispatch Lead will work and communicate closely with client contacts, dispatchers, drivers, installers and warehouse personnel to ensure Fidelitone customers receive timely deliveries. The Dispatch Lead is also responsible for assisting with coordination of schedules, delivering training and providing guidance to driver team.

• Works with and assists drivers and customer to problem solve and provide excellent customer service
• Ability to navigate and train others on client-specific routing and client site practices to effectively communicate with drivers
• Responsible for communicating cancelled or rescheduled deliveries to end customer and client
• Works with customers, account management, and operations to assist in the communication of routing, pick up, and delivery service
• May assist with incident/accident that may occur and reports appropriately to Corporate Safety team
• Responsible for over-seeing and assisting with sorting and preparing all delivery paperwork
• Communicate with schedulers and warehouse personnel to verify accurate staging, delivery and removal of freight for Fidelitone clients
• Assist with communication with drivers and installers to ensure timely service to Fidelitone clients
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management, peers, and clients is necessary
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Logistics/Supply Chain, Dispatching, Transportation, Engineering, Business Analyst/Project Management
• Intermediate computer proficiency in Excel and Word
• This position requires interaction with internal/external customers
• Working knowledge of DOT and Hours-of-Service (HOS) regulations for Commercial operators
• Excellent problem-solving, task prioritization, follow-up, and customer service skills required

Required Experience

• Prior dispatch experience
• Comfort/familiarity with 26' non-CDL box truck operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of or willingness to secure pertinent Hazmat, TSA, and other certifications
