Job Description
As the Animals, Science and Environment Specialist, you will provide specialist support to multiple teams within Disney’s Animals, Science, and Environment team. This is a full-time hourly role providing purchasing support for multiple animal care teams, and is based on site at Disney’s The Seas with Nemo and Friends Aquarium at Epcot.


In this role, you will report to the Water Sciences Manager.


You Will:


  • Department phone and email distribution lists
  • Problem solve and look at new and creative solutions
  • Ordering and receiving of supplies
  • General team support, back up other specialists, and other administrative projects as needed
  • Perform functions in SAP
  • Shipping and receiving support
  • Professionally represent the department with clients, partners and external colleagues
  • Assisting with Security Gate Clearance
  • Receiving and paying invoices, as well as checkbook maintenance
  • Support Vendor relations and setup


You Have:


  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and strong partnering skills
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP, Casual Buyer, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Ability to support multiple areas
  • Ability to maintain an efficient office, files, database, and information
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Proven experience working and partnering with various levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changes in a team, fast-paced work environment


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney World policies and procedures
  • Minimum 2 years of professional administrative experience
  • Demonstrated strong networking skills
  • Willingness to learn new software applications


Required Education:


  • High school degree or equivalent
