Job Description
As the Animals, Science and Environment Specialist, you will provide specialist support to multiple teams within Disney’s Animals, Science, and Environment team. This is a full-time hourly role providing purchasing support for multiple animal care teams and is based on site at Disney’s The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot.


In this role, you will report to the Animal Operations Director – The Seas.


You Will:


  • Professionally represent the department with clients, partners and external colleagues
  • Receiving and paying invoices, as well as checkbook maintenance
  • Support Vendor relations and setup
  • Ordering and receiving of supplies
  • Perform functions in SAP
  • Department phone and email distribution lists
  • Shipping and receiving support
  • Problem solve and look at new and creative solutions
  • General team support, back up other specialists, and other administrative projects as needed
  • Assisting with Security Gate Clearance


You Have:


  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changes in a team, fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to support multiple areas
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
  • Proven experience working and partnering with various levels of management
  • Ability to maintain an efficient office, files, database, and information
  • Showed skill in SAP, Casual Buyer, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Minimum one year of Purchasing experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong partnering skills
  • Proven strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated strong networking skills
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney World policies and procedures
  • Minimum 2 years of professional administrative experience
  • Willingness to learn new software applications


Required Education:


  • High school degree or equivalent
