Job Description
The Director-Online Category Management works closely with Online senior leadership across functions to create a customer driven Omni-Channel strategy to deliver a best in class online experience on Lowes.com while establishing and maintaining meaningful and efficient cross functional partnerships with 14+ teams throughout the organization. Specifically, this role partners closely with online and core merchandising by leveraging customer data, site behaviors, pre/post-transaction data and competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities to improve the Omni-Channel customer experience. Additional key stakeholders in this role include SEO, Online Business Solutions, Product Management, Brand Advocates, and Daily Production leadership to drive the Online sales growth to meet enterprise and online targets year after year. The Director will lead a team of leaders to produce weekly insights and cross functional deliverables in order to drive the digital experience strategy for an assigned business unit (4 - 6 MDVs, $2 - $6B annually). The Dir-Online Category Management is responsible for leading, developing, managing a top performing team to drive efficiency for the customer, and deliver revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Regularly present insights and recommendations to cross functional senior leaders (VPs, SVPs) to guide future digital strategies for Lowes.com
  • Communicates and presents frequently to senior leadership VP-SVP to: gain alignment on strategy, share results of large scale projects, represent CXP interests and provide expertise
  • Provides continuous and open feedback and mentorship to team members to encourage their growth, assist them in learning new tools, skills and techniques, and take on greater responsibility
  • Provides tactical support specific to in season opportunities to react to near term business trends and drivers
  • Partner with merchandising and drop ship teams to maximize new launches through search, navigation and product detail page optimization.
  • Synthesize project management calendar to deliver goals for 4-6 Merchandising Divisions, align with Sr Director and share with cross functional teams so they can use in creating their calendars.
  • Gain alignment with senior leadership across the Lowe's organization to best drive enterprise strategy and deliver on our Lowe's business goals/commitments. Partner teams include: Marketing, Events & Promotions, Merchandising, Pricing, Item Content, Site Operations/Execution, Brand Advocates, UX
  • In partnership with Sr. Dir and VP, leverage corporate and department goals to create actionable and measurable goals for the team to then benchmark against for year end evaluations.
  • Examines and streamlines work flows and processes within the team to increase efficiency
  • Lead team to deliver 60-80 projects in a year
  • Partner with Analytics and Tech team to test enhancements and user flow to deliver funnel progression and conversion upside.
  • Train and develop team to analyze customer information to identify the most significant opportunities to improve the customer experience within assigned categories including the identification of opportunities to improve taxonomy, purchase path (search and navigation), digital content, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and post-transaction results.
  • Assist in creation of Digital Strategy for Lowes.com and deliver digital experience strategy for assigned business unit (4-6 MDVs), $2-$6B annually, via aggregation of insights, competitive intelligence, and data driven recommendations that addresses customer gaps to ensure they come in on-time and inscope.


Required Qualifications:


  • 10 Years digital, online, ecommerce/retail experience
  • Bachelors Degree Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 6 Years people leadership experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Masters Degree, MBA or related

Pay Range for CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA: $119,800.00 - $199,600.00 annually
