Responsibilities

• Manage a small Finance team who focuses on Supply Chain
• Manage the month-end accounting close process to ensure accurate & timely reporting of inventory quantities & valuation, cost center spending, production variances, and COGS.
• Obtain a deep understanding of the supply chain flow, contractual commitments with CMOs, for alliance partnerships, and global strategies.
• Review and manage the monthly manufacturing results, monthly production variances between estimated & actual results and the reporting of results & variances to leadership.
• Ensure cost accounting internal controls are designed & operating effectively.
• Continually assess cost accounting processes & procedures; identify, influence, and execute process and technology improvements.
• Manage the development of high-level financial budgets & forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
• 5+ years team management/supervisory experience.
• CPA would be a plus but not required.
• Core FP&A experience, COGS, and cost accounting knowledge.
• Public accounting experience (preferred).
• Capability to work with diverse teams in a matrix organizational structure.
• Growth mindset & to take on a hands-on approach to perform detailed analysis.
• 5+ years cost accounting, financial management, or financial planning experience.
• Strong verbal, writing, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
• Pharmaceutical, Life Science or Chemical Industry experience.
