Summary

Our teams are based in the US (San Ramon, Milwaukee, Seattle), France, Israel, and India (Bangalore).

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Hire, coach, and mentor individuals; build a strong cross-functional organization.
  • Propose and implement new projects or recommend system improvements.
  • Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.
  • Hire bar raising talent as the team expands.
  • Improve upon existing systems to achieve efficiency in the operation load and footprint.
  • Influence and continuously improve a sustainable team culture that exemplifies GE HealthCare’s leadership principles. Coach team members to help them achieve their potential.
  • Foster culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
  • Bring innovative ideas to the table every day, to find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives.
  • Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
  • Partner with a diverse stakeholder to understand requirements, priorities, and processes.
  • Have the obsession to drive a better customer experience through everything that we do here at GE HealthCare.
  • Create, prioritize, communicate, manage, and execute roadmaps, project plans, and commitments.
  • Set clear, measurable quality goals for an organization in a data-driven way.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technology and modern development practices including Object Oriented principles (C++, Java or similar language), Service Oriented Architecture
  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager in a software development organization, responsible for hiring and developing a team
  • Experience in partnering and effectively communicating with product and program management teams
  • Previous experience with building a service using cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP
  • 6+ years of experience working in software engineering, including the design and development of highly scalable web services
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related industry experience
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Quality Assurance, and Senior Leadership
  • Ability to take raw product requirements and create software architectures and designs to bring them to life
  • Master’s in computer science or a related field
  • Project Management experience with agile development methodology
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and opinions

The salary range for this position is $175K - $325K Base. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
