Job Description
  • Work with in-house Estimating team to:
  • Draft job offers
  • Facilitate Division growth plan and strategy proactively working with Director of Business Development, Director of Estimating, Director of Operations, VP & President.
  • Execute marketing campaigns
  • Make equipment purchasing recommendations
  • Developing team of subcontractors and suppliers you can depend on to allow us to achieve growth plan goals
  • Aggressively execute growth plan on daily basis by:
  • Taking advantage of variety of internal resources and notifying Director of Operations, and VP when more resources are needed.
  • Meeting with and developing long lasting relationships with key industry clients, potential clients, vendors, and potential employees
  • Setup internal team events
  • Run day to day Operations of Site Work Division within a successful and aggressively growing Civil Construction Company.
  • Interview candidates and provide specific feedback
  • Obtaining key data from different industry professionals
  • Work is completed in a safe, high quality manner
  • Spec out new equipment
  • Onboard and train new team members
  • Plan for and put on small networking/entertaining events for key clients and potential clients
  • Identify key opportunities to pursue
  • Clients feel as if they have received a very high level of service and want to continue to use Muller
  • Obtain guidance on HR situations
  • Projects are completed on-schedule
  • Use internal CRM to build division and track opportunities/leads
  • Define position names, budgets, and job descriptions
  • Daily and project production goals are met or exceeded
  • Work with in-house Marketing/BD team to:
  • Performing research on different growth strategies and ideas
  • Attend industry events where key industry contacts will be attending or there is opportunity to learn about new technologies
  • Review bid results/feedback and make recommendation on margins and pricing structure and information
  • Manage the Division's team of Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Superintendents, Foremen, Operators, Laborers to ensure the following:
  • Evaluate and suggest Division production assumptions
  • Work with in-house HR team to:
  • Conduct yearly reviews in a manner that encourages honest and direct employee feedback while giving the same to our team member. Make sure they understand what they are doing well and where they need to improve, and that they understand the consequences and rewards for their actions and contributions.
  • Training program is treated with upmost importance and ran in a way you would be thrilled to be a trainee
  • Discipline any employees that are not meeting standards up to and including termination if plans for improvement are not met
  • A positive work environment for all our team members where they can achieve day to day satisfaction and long term career growth and where improving daily is encouraged and required
  • Brainstorm on marketing campaigns
  • Suggest equipment demonstrations
  • Brainstorm on solutions to jobs that are not being filled or filled fast enough
  • Follow up on sensitive proposals
  • Work with in-house Fleet Manager to:
  • Create position specific requisitions
  • Work with in-house Recruiting team to:
  • Researching and suggesting new technology as well as taking advantage of existing company state of the art technology


Requirements:


  • At minimum bachelor's degree in construction or civil technologies is preferred
  • Previous management or business development experience preferred.
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (primarily Microsoft Outlook and Excel)
  • Technically strong with site work/civil infrastructure new construction
  • Meticulous organizational skills and experience working in a high-volume, deadline-based environment (requires the ability to multitask).
  • Min 5 years' experience with site work projects as a PM
