We are looking for a self-starter with a strong background in revenue accounting, operations, billing, collections, and Zuora, who can thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Additionally, we prefer a candidate with experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and Legal, to ensure revenue recognition policies are aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead revenue audits, ensuring all documentation and support are in place and provide support to external auditors.
  • Lead the month-end close process for revenue, including reconciliations and analysis of revenue-related accounts.
  • Manage the billing and collections processes for both businesses.
  • Oversee the revenue accounting and operations functions for both the DTC and B2B SaaS businesses.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and automation initiatives related to revenue accounting, operations, billing, and collections.
  • Manage the revenue forecasting and planning processes.
  • Maintain and enhance revenue systems, including Zuora, to support business needs and drive efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and policies.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
About You
  • 10+ years of experience in revenue accounting, operations, billing, and collections in a tech company with both DTC and B2B SaaS businesses.
  • Proven experience with Zuora and its functionalities.
  • Preference for a candidate with experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • You thrive in fast-paced and highly collaborative environments and have a strategic mindset while focusing on operational efficiency and process improvement
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and policies.

The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
MasterClass’s salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
Salary Range
$204,000—$238,000 USD
