Director Of Warehouse Operations

Orion Solutions Group is working with a growing and well-established logistics company. We are seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to join our client in Spartanburg, SC. This is a key position where you will be responsible for 3 different facilities (warehouse/distribution/inventory management) and successfully guiding/running all operational activities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Make an impact by optimizing logistics operations, building relationships with third-party providers, and strategizing warehousing and distribution channels.
• Create a culture of safety, implement quality management systems, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Lead the success of strategic objectives in warehouse, distribution, and inventory management for multiple facilities, driving profitability and operational excellence.
• Reviews analyses of activities, costs (full P&L responsibility), operations, WM systems, and forecast data to determine department or regional progress toward stated goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with executive management to review achievements and drive continuous improvement across the region.

Other Responsibilities:

• Manage regional warehouse operations and staff, overseeing processes and reporting.
• Lead the implementation of new and current customers.
• Promote employee involvement and communicate company values and goals.
• Foster and maintain relationships with selected 3PL providers.
• Strategize and optimize logistics operations, including warehousing and distribution channels.
• Maximize labor productivity and drive cost excellence.
• Oversee warehouse equipment purchases and establish operational procedures.
• Recruit, train, and retain high-performing employees.
• Implement and maintain quality management systems.
• Review progress toward goals and objectives through data analysis.
• Drive a culture of safety and conduct facility audits.

Qualifications:

• Servant Leader
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations.
• High Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with WMS or TMS desirable.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 7-10 years of logistics management level experience, in logistics; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-volume warehouse, preferably cross dock or transloading, distribution, manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume warehouse operations, preferably cross dock, pick n pack, kitting, or transloading.
