Job Description
Director of Substation Construction



We are looking for an experienced professional with 10 to 20 years of work experience in the utility sector, substation construction, and high voltage projects to join our team as the Director of Substation Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and guiding the Substation Construction team in the planning, design, and installation of all substation construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work, meeting or exceeding the customer's expectations, and maintaining safe working conditions.


Responsibilities


  • Monitor progress of all projects and take corrective action if required.
  • Oversee the installation of high-voltage projects.
  • Identify potential risks and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
  • Manage the Substation Construction team, including recruitment, training, and development of employees.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Substation Construction team.
  • Lead the planning and design of substation construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, efficient, and cost-effective working environment.
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and developments.


Requirements


  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • 10-20 years of experience in the utility sector, substation construction, and high voltage projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
