The Director will play an integral role in navigating the development and growth of our research efforts for priority programs

As part of the leadership team, the Director will assist with the annual planning and development of priority programs, identifying strategic opportunities, conceptualizing new project plans, etc.

We are currently in search of a Director of Research for a health & science nonprofit. This is a full-time, permanent, fully remote role, seeking candidates based on the East Coast. Employees should be fully vaccinated.

LOCATION: Remote (East Coast Candidates)

POSITION TITLE: Director of Research

ANNUAL SALARY: $130k - $140k annually

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the drug development continuance, partnering with stakeholders, including academia, regulatory and life science companies, and medical professionals, to design and implement rigorous research programs that inform/ guide healthcare bodies, clinical trial design, and patient experience. We’re seeking a strategic thinker that can identify new opportunities and successfully build, mobilize, and manage programs to achieve collective impact and shared goals.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Direct experience managing individuals/teams.
• Strong writing and editing skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated track record of successfully designing, managing, and delivering programs through cross-functional and multi-stakeholder teams.
• Fluency with scientific terminology and comfortable with facilitating and synthesizing scientific discussions with leading experts.
• Grant sourcing/ writing knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to balance, and manage priorities, projects, and deadlines
• Demonstrated experience with communicating science to various audiences and through different media outlets
• Master’s degree (preferred)
• Comfortable with quantitative and qualitative data and familiarity with analysis methods.
• Strong Clinician background
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, and other Project Management tools
• 7yrs experience in clinical research, rare disease, public health, or life science
• Experience designing, executing, or overseeing human research projects;
