Job Description

Lipman Brothers, LLC Mission: To be the Distributor of choice to three important constituencies: Retailers, Customers and Suppliers, as well as to be the employer of choice.


OBJECTIVE: Responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for an integrated purchasing and procurement organization, utilizing domestic and import sourcing which deliver cost reductions alongside improved service levels across all product lines. This role will be responsible for developing and growing best in class inventory management functions that delivers on time inventory and outstanding service for internal and external sales customers for continued sales growth. Responsible for overall inventory productivity by analysis and reporting in support of the overall operations, strategic direction and management of supply chain.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes trends to create action plans for forward buy and year end purchases for suppliers.
  • Maintain weekly reports to provide visibility for the team to take preventative measures to mitigate potential out-of-stocks of key items.
  • Analyze market trends and anticipate changes in demand to adjust purchasing strategies as necessary.
  • Manage freight lane processes and investigate any process deviation to ensure continuous freight savings.
  • Improving on-time delivery by establishing, maintaining and communicating statistical data on the tracking of shipments and inventory ETA’s.
  • Manage COLA and waiver applications for importing alcohol.
  • Responsible for analyzing the supply chain trends, transportation lanes, and developing processes for reducing freight costs.
  • Initiate and communicate replenishment recommendations in respect to inventory and trends to Sales team and management.
  • Develop and maintain reports and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of purchasing operations.
  • Manage replenishment strategies to optimize inventory levels and maximize profitability while ensuring adequate service levels and minimal overstock.
  • Handling unforeseen challenges, such as supply chain disruptions, system malfunctions, or changes in regulations, to mitigate potential impacts on the distribution process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to purchasing and inventory management including the annual CTPAT re-certification process.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in supply chain or purchasing/inventory/procurement field
  • Ability to work independently effectively and executive tasks while positively handle conflict, and work in a high pressure environment
  • Minimum 5 years analytical experience within E3 or similar forecasting system
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Statistics
  • Deliver cost reductions and improved quality and service levels through leadership in the implementation and integration of best-in-class strategic sourcing levers
  • Able to strategize and implement solutions for immediate problems and to accommodate sales growth across multiple departments
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management including leadership and challenge sales projections based on analytical data
