Director Of Procurement Jobs

Our client, a leading healthcare company, is searching for a Director, Procurement who will focus on foodservice contracts for hospitals. This individual will be leading sourcing initiatives that are primarily categories with medium to high complexity, risk, and sensitivity. They are responsible for presenting contract strategies and final award recommendations to internal stakeholders.

The Director of Procurement will be responsible for:

• Own the negotiation of a portfolio in the spend range of $1 Billion annually.
• Support responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), interpret client requirements, identify issues, and provide alternative solutions.
• Negotiating industry-leading national agreements for the GPO. Objective is to ensure best in class industry pricing and contract terms and conditions.
• Serve as point of contact and provide leadership on client contract matters to identify issues, negotiate resolutions, and respond to client inquiries.
• Provide strategic legal and business advice and risk mitigation strategies to internal customers regarding client contract matters; offer counsel, guidance, and interpretation during all stages of the contract life cycle.
• Review, negotiate and draft contracts across a variety of business functions, including client agreements, service and supplier agreements, non-disclosure, consulting, and subcontracting agreements.
• Support senior management in formal writing/responses regarding contractual interpretation and enforcement.

The Director of Procurement has the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of contract negotiations experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Food Services sourcing experience
