Job Summary:


The leader has the critical responsibility of developing and aligning controls and key electronic sub-systems strategies with business partners needs across the enterprise. This includes identifying and managing a tier 2+ supply base and supply chain strategy to ensure supply continuity while driving growth & profitability across all Trane Technologies strategic business units (SBU’s).


Responsibilities


  • Develop and drive a Tier 2 and Tier 3 component strategy, including developing a preferred distributor and component manufacturing strategy, negotiations and implementation, and Supplier Relationship Management
  • Partner with and Lead Cross Functional Team including component engineering
  • Evaluate and Assess Market Trends in the Electronics design and manufacturing space, with focus on critical electronics sub-systems including controls
  • Partner with and Influence strategic direction of Business Unit Controls Strategy including design criteria, component selection, and multi-tiered sourcing.
  • Support all New Product Development (NPD) and New Technology Introduction (NTI) activities for controls and electronic components across SBU’s


Qualifications


  • Demonstrated success includes supplier development across regions, responsibility for high-level negotiations, leading/participating on multi-functional projects, and team development
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Sourcing experience in the development and management of a global electronics supply base is required
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, all functional areas
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies across an enterprise
  • Previous experience in developing standard processes and tools
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree – Business administration, supply chain, engineering, finance or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Lean experience beneficial

  • Experience managing and partnering with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders
  • 15+ years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain

  • Change Management - Develops and utilizes change management tools to educate business on key strategies and business objectives to support vision of indirect procurement.
  • Global Business Thinking/Strategizing - Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets and technology, builds this knowledge into strategies/playbooks, develops team’s capabilities & talent.
  • Communication Skills – Exhibits enthusiasm, influences customers, represents Procurement with SBU leadership, presentation and messaging skills (understanding the audience)
  • Influence – Utilizes multiple tools and techniques to drive Trane Technologies to a new approach/thinking within the electronics space


This position is located in Davidson, North Carolina. Expected travel requirements are 25%.

Base Compensation Range is $180k – 220k. This position also includes an incentive plan. *Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
