Job Description
We are Claybourne Industries, one of the fastest growing cannabis flower brands in California. Our team is known for being highly dedicated to our retail partners and consumers while going above and beyond with flower quality, flower consistency and innovative new product development.


We are hiring an experienced, hard-working, entrepreneurial Director of Operations to develop/implement the quality and production framework of our flower and pre-roll product lines.


This role is extremely crucial to our operation as it aligns the many parts together to manage the daily operations smoothly, while strategizing business needs and new process implementations. The role is full-time, on-site role (Perris, CA) and may at times, include overtime hours.


The Director of Operation will Lead, develop, and improve all Operations through effective workflow direction, ensuring that work standards are met, and continuous improvement is embraced. Experience with employee relations, cross-functional department communication and a strong knowledgebase in the logistics space is required.


Responsibilities


  • Develop, maintain, and/or optimize key performance indicators for various departments within Operations/Production, as well as owning any relevant reporting used by Operations and Leadership Teams.
  • Assess, scope, and manage/support logistics through diligent project management, delegations, qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, and extensive cross-functional coordination across various fields (process improvements, expansion, procurement, etc.)
  • Develop and monitor implementation of process changes meant to result in: cost or waste reduction, quality or productivity improvement, customer satisfaction, or ThruPut increases.
  • A focus on cost effective production and labor allocation including allocation of raw material inventory across all products with profitability and velocity in mind.
  • Work with a team of Supervisors, Associates, and Cross Functional Leaders to ensure the timely and accurate transportation and movement of all inbound/outbound activities within the warehouse daily.
  • Liaise with all departments (Sales, Finance, People) to ensure regular and productive cross-department communication, organization, and planning.
  • Work with CEO and CFO/Director of Finance on production enhancements requiring CapEx investment.
  • Manage the modification of standard operating procedures (SOP) by developing and documenting protocols, engaging key stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Lead and/or support the management of external relationships and communications with current and prospective partners and/or vendors as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Lean, Six Sigma, Quality or other related certifications preferred.
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively to various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and line-level team members.
  • Detail oriented with the tenacity and adaptability to navigate the evolving demands of working at a high-growth startup
  • Salary range - $90k - $120K (based on experience).
  • A passion for cannabis products and the cannabis industry
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering and/or 4+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Distribution network
  • 401K including company match after 90 days of employment.
  • Experience training and coaching others in problem solving methodologies.

  • Experience managing a team of 20+ employees (including managers/supervisors) within a warehouse Logistic setting.
  • Project management and quantitative analysis experience
